Alderman Robert Pondelicek
- Ward 1
Ward I Alderman Robert Pondelicek and his wife of 40 years, Maxine, have
lived in Countryside's Ward I for the last 35 years and are members of
St. Cletus Parish. Their three children attended Ideal, Gurrie and
LTHS schools. Alderman Pondelicek attended Wilson Junior College
before joining the Army, while in the service he received extensive
training in electronics and completed his military career as an
instructor in guided missile systems.
After the army Bob attended DePaul University, majoring in business
management. A subsequent business career with Xerox Corp. lasted
37 years before he retired as a National Account Service Manager.
His primary responsibilities while at Xerox included resolving customer
concerns and providing a high level of customer satisfaction. He
is a past member of the Countryside Police Pension Board and past
Secretary of the Countryside Police & Fire Board, in addition to serving
as Chairman of the Countryside Independent Party. Bob also belongs
to several community organizations, including the M.H.O.A.I. and the
Illinois Police Commissioners Association.
Alderman Pondelicek promises to work hard and dedicate his time and
energy to maintain and improve the quality of life and amenities
provided for all the residents of Ward 1 and the City of Countryside.
He believes in being accessible and listening to constituent concerns
and ideas. Most importantly, he will not only listen to citizen
concerns but will address and act on them as soon as possible.
Alderman Pondelicek believes that Countryside should continue to be a
financially sound and family-oriented place to reside in and provide as
many services as possible for all residents.
