REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26, 2008 – 7:30 P.M.

I. MEETING CALL TO ORDER – PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

III. OMNIBUS AGENDA:

All items on the Omnibus Agenda are considered to be routine in nature by the City Council and will be enacted in one motion.  There will not be separate discussion of these items unless a Council member so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the Omnibus Agenda and considered separately.

A. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: March 12, 2008.

B. STATEMENT OF BILLS through March 26, 2008: $311,082.57.

C. From the PEACE OFFICERS MEMORIAL FOUNDATION OF COOK COUNTY requesting permission to conduct a raffle in conjunction with their fundraiser at Park Place on April 25, 2008.  A waiver of fees is also requested for the raffle. ($50.00)

D. Special use request from Greater Chicago Productions, Susan Nicholson, to hold an Antique Postcard Show on April 18-19, 2008 at Local #150.

IV. ADDITIONS TO AND/OR DELETIONS FROM THE AGENDA

A. Acceptance of the Vulcan Materials Company sponsorship agreement in the amount of $20,000.

INFRASTRUCTURE COMMITTEE – ALDERMAN MICHALCZYK, CHAIRMAN

A. Review and action on approval of ITEP project concerning funding and management.

X. CITY ATTORNEY/LEGAL REPORT

A. Plan/ZBA recommendation to consider amendments to portions of the Zoning Code regarding Off-Street Parking, specifically sections 10-10-3 (Off-Street Parking) and 10-10-4 (location of Accessory off-street parking facilities)

B. Plan/ZBA recommendation to consider rezoning 5501 La Grange Road from B-1 to B-2; and to consider a special use to Section 10-6B-2 to permit a car wash; and a variance to Section 8-5-9B-5 to allow 1 monument sign without the required 7 foot space between the sign and ground level; and a variance to Section 10-6B-1 to allow outdoor sales at Mobil Gas Station. 

C. Plan/ZBA recommendation to consider the creation of a Planned Unit Development (PUD), Sec.10-9-4 to allow for specific standards and criteria for a mixed use planned development containing township offices and senior apartments with variances to the R-5 Zoning District and variances to the Sign Ordinance at 6404 and 6406 Joliet Road.  Applicant: Illinois Facilities Fund.

D. Review of offer to purchase 5949 La Grange Road property and 6001 La Grange Road property, Dodge City and Ethan Allen properties respectively.
