- NIPC Releases Extensive 2000 Census Data for the City of
Countryside
The Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission (NIPC) has released
60-page Census 2000 demographic profiles for each county, township, and
municipality in northeastern Illinois, including Countryside.
NIPC had previously updated its preliminary 2030 population and employment
forecasts for the City of Countryside. Following a meeting with City of Countryside staff members, in
addition to meeting with 209 other communities in the region, as part of
NIPC’s Paint The Town Project, the agency tabulated forecasts based on
those interviews as well as on projected future land use information.
Given the generally built-out nature of Countryside, the growth
forecasted until 2030 is modest, yet still represents an increase in
both population and employment.
