Bank of Countryside Project
City of Countryside and State Bank of Countryside (SBC) officials
gathered on October 20, 2004 for a ceremony to mark the bank's new
construction project. Mayor Carl LeGant, Aldermen Mike Smetana and
Ed Krzeminski, City Clerk Shirley Herberts, City Treasurer Dick Stoffels and Community Development
Officer Mark Muenzer were joined by Countryside Chamber of Commerce
representatives Tony Bresnahan and Jerry Welch to celebrate with the SBC
project team.
The bank's new facility
is located at 6734 Joliet Road. It has two floors and total 18,740 sq. ft. SBC, situated near the City's
western border, constructed a bridge to link both the existing and
future buildings, with a new total building size of over 32,000 sq. ft.
The bank also be added two drive-through lanes and has constructed a
driveway to connect the SBC property to the adjoining Dominick's
property, a much needed improvement for the area. The bank plans
to add about 30 employees in the ensuing years after project completion
and will continue their excellent landscaping design in front of the new
building on Joliet Rd.
