Tom and his wife Amy Kessel, the daughter of Countryside area family physician Dr. Kenneth Kessel, have lived in Countryside since 1991. They have four grown children and eight grandchildren. Tom is a retired Head of School and college professor. Tom holds a BA in English from Beloit College and graduate degrees from Concordia University and the University of Chicago.

Tom is an avid walker and can often be seen walking along the 5th Avenue Cutoff. He looks forward to serving the residents of Countryside’s 2nd Ward.
