Assistant City Administrator Sharon Peterson

Sharon Peterson was appointed Assistant City Administrator in December, 2006. One of Sharon’s main duties will be to oversee the Recreation Department.

Sharon has over eight years of municipal experience in a City Manager’s office. Sharon has served as the Assistant to the Village Manager for the Village of Glencoe and as the Assistant Village Manager for the Village of La Grange. Most recently, Sharon served as the Interim Director of Parks and Recreation for the Village of Hinsdale.

A native of the Chicagoland area, Sharon received her Master’s in Public Administration from Northern Illinois University in 2000, and her Bachelor of Science from Rockford College in 1993.
