MINUTES OF THE
SPECIAL MEETING
BOARD OF FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION
CITY OF COUNTRYSIDE
January 4, 2011

Meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm. Upon roll call the following were present: Jerry Welch, Chairman, Mark Burdett, Secretary, Members Absent: Scott Musillami, Commissioner

Also in attendance: Erik Peck, City Attorney, Sharon Peterson, Assistant City Administrator/Secretary to the Board, Michael Ruth, Police Chief

Chairman Welch directed the City Attorney to amend the language in the Board of Fire and Police Commission rules and regulations; specifically, Chapter 3, Section 6, Paragraph 4; Seniority Points for Promotional Consideration.

Attorney Peck presented the draft language, and Chairman Welch asked for a motion to approve the amended language. A motion was made by Commissioner Burdett, and seconded by Chairman Welch.

Chief Ruth discussed with Chairman Welch and Attorney Peck the language in the Rules and Regulations; specifically Chapter 3, Section 4, Title of Examination. This section does not need to be revised.

There was discussion on the section of the Rules and Regulations that pertain to the psychological testing portion of the Patrol Officer recruitment.

Chairman Welch asked for any additional business and hearing none asked for a motion to adjourn.

The meeting adjourned at 8:46 pm.
