MINUTES OF THE
E-911 EMERGENCY TELEPHONE SYSTEM BOARD MEETING
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2013 – 5:00 PM
COUNCIL CHAMBERS
CALL TO ORDER & ROLL CALL.
Meeting was called to order at 5:05 p.m. Those present were: Chairman Chief Ford, Fire Chief Doyle, Communications Director Srejma, Member Schwartz, and Secretary Carey. Also in attendance was Countryside resident, Don McGoorty. Absent was ESDA Coordinator Norman.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES.
The minutes of June 6, 2013 were signed and dated by Chairman Chief Ford.
REQUEST AUTHORIZATION OF EXPENDITURES.
Chief Ford requested approval for expenditures since the last E-911 Board meeting of June 6, 2013.
- Motion to accept expenditures from May 29, 2013 to August 28, 2013. Motion by Member Schwartz. Seconded by Fire Chief Doyle. Vote taken and approved unanimously.
UPDATE ON SWCD.
The anticipated change over date-from in-house dispatch to Southwest Central Dispatch-is October 1, 2013. Additional invoices related to the switch are forthcoming and have all been previously approved by City Council. Nine part-time Community Service Officers have been hired to staff the communications center. Orientation for the new employees will take place this week. The department will maintain 24-hour coverage for walk up traffic.

ADJOURN MEETING.
There being no further business to discuss, Chief Doyle moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Communications Director Srejma. The meeting adjourned at 5:12 PM.
