John Fitzgerald has been the City Engineer for the City of Countryside since 2002. John is a licensed Professional Engineer and Vice President of the City’s Consulting Civil Engineering firm, Novotny Engineering. John began his career with Novotny Engineering in 1987, after obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Marquette University. John brings over 30 years of experience in municipal engineering to the City of Countryside and has played a role in shaping the infrastructure, resolving problems and improving our community.
John is directly responsible for the implementation and execution of all infrastructure improvements within the City, including roadway and alley, water and wastewater, and stormwater management. John is also responsible for coordinating all State and County improvements and reviewing all site and grading plans for commercial and residential developments within the City.
