The City of Countryside is seeking dependable individuals with a desire to work with the public at the front desk in the Police Department. Varied responsibilities include: greet, answer, screen and route non-emergency telephone calls and walk-in inquiries; collect monies associated with fees, fines and bonds, and generate reports and maintain records. Requires excellent communication skills. Candidates must be able to effectively communicate with members of the public, sworn officers, and City employees and be able to convey information effectively and discreetly. Bilingual and knowledge of Microsoft Office a plus. Prior public safety experience desirable.
Starting salary is $15.45/hr. The work schedule entails shift work (afternoons and midnights), including weekends and holidays with a maximum of 16 hours per week. Benefits are not offered for this position.
