Residents of the City of Countryside have access to beautiful nature and exciting amenities, such as Arie Crown and Theodore Stone Forests, thanks to the Forest Preserves of Cook County.  Arie Crown Forest has two sheltered picnic groves perfect for gatherings and celebrations.  Countryside residents can enjoy over 3 miles of unpaved trails at Arie Crown Forest, in addition to opportunities to cross-country ski, hike and bike.  Just to the east of the City is Theodore Stone Forest, which offers a sheltered and unsheltered picnic grove and an informal footpath.
